Chapter 558 - "Tomorrow" - Last Chapter SPOILER  
The final chapter.... really.

I laughed. I cried. I felt like I was reading fanfic...... Srsly. Note: Please read the chapter before you read my effort at snark. It's a long chapter and there are many emotions that go through your mind as you experience the end of anything. I am going to try to keep this snark-lite out of respect for this epic comic strip. Don't let me ruin it for you, just in case I fail. Chapter 551 is rather serious. Didn't get so many snark inspirations outta this one. Though - we did get some prime Sesshy, including best line of the last few hundred chapters, I think. Clint Eastwood's got nothin' on Sess.

Chapter 550 is full of surprises - well, sort of. Not much happened really, but as the title promises, we seem to be setting up for "the end". Settle in with your popcorn and soda, though. I think it's going to be a long one. I mean - is THIS Naraku's true form? I dunno.... he's a baddie and they don't ever really show their true form until they're dead. One thing though - props to Kohaku and Rin! My heroes!

Chapter 546 has some dramatic art, but my favorite part was the dynamic duo of Inuyasha + Kagome playing psychobabble games with Naraku. Poor guy. Despite teetering on the brink of ultimate power, he's clearly done for.

Chapter 543 - Vanished Arrow  
Chapter 543 is... dark, though Inu tries to apply his overly testosterone-fueled optimistic view of things at the end to give us a little lift. Go Inu! Poor, gullible little hanyou. On a high note, though, Sessy finally shows up! A little late, but hey, at least he made it through the rot gut to make a truly stunning appearance. What more can we ask for from the prettiest youkai in the land, anyway? Oh. And - Kagome actually did something (well, she kept doing the same something she started last time, but given how few something's she's been doing lately, I say we count it twice!)

I liked Chapter 542! (I know. Shock.) Some color pics and good solid Naraku badness plus... Kagome did something! But, uh. Where the heck is Sessy (and why isn't he in color?). Notice how Sango and Miroku are in black and white on the color? Don't like the look of THAT. Symbolically, they look dead. Oh noes!

Chapter 540 chapter was full of Inu+Kag fluff! Wow. Some great pics. And - news flash - Naraku is a meanie.... And, [info]drjmaxwell is SO glad to know this is the last time I'll ever right Megasushi Magatsuhi again! No promises on the sword jokes, though. I think those will keep coming.

Chapter 538  was a real set back from the last few week's alt pairing excitement. It seems that Sess+Kag aren't meant to be after all. I mean, he's verbally abusive and everything. Is she going to put up with that? Oh right. She hangs out with Inu. I suppose anything is possible..... and get a'load of her picking up this dick sword with her bare hands!
