Ok. So why does this embarrass me? To anyone who's followed my writing posts over the past... uh... year? it should be quite obvious, but I'll make it painfully so.

Gah! I just wanna write anything at this point. I don't think it's "writer's block" but "writer's distraction" eating my creativity these days. Rl is just so full and my brain has been trained by the kit/bath/deck renovation + 6 weeks of traveling this summer to be really ADD, which makes it hard to sit still and concentrate long enough to write squat.

Can I pout? Will you still love me?

I have been gifted with something amazing. I'm always moved when someone is inspired to create something because of something I write. And now I have two AMV gifts made by idan_trradiak to share. I think they are amazing and I find them both very inspiring. Please go watch them! They really show a love and appreciation of the series that should resonate with every true fan. Her choice of music and anime+movie footage is perfect and includes so many of my favorite scenes in dramatic and moving combinations. Wow! I so knew I was doing the right thing in stalking Foo~Dog's kiriban over on DA. Look what she drew for me at my request? You MUST go see the full size picture at her DA account. And please tell her how wonderful she is. It is just stunning work. This is her first InuYasha pic - since she's such a Sesshy fangirl and makes the most beautiful Sessy drawings too!

I asked Foo-Dog to draw InuYasha, circa 1600 as the leader/general of a band/army of Ronin. This is a characterization I am playing with for Inu in one of the sequels to Gisei, and I needed/wanted inspiration. And boy did she give it to me! Thank you Foo~Dog! I'm so inspired now, I must go write!

One of my favorite artists, mcgray (remember my Tonk's icon?) has gifted me with an original painting of Rin that she did for Gisei. Isn't this stunning? She chose a terribly sad scene and did it absolute justice. She envisioned it better than I did and I've written this kimono and pose into the final edit. I am just amazed and astounded that she would spend her tremendous talent bringing some of my fantasies to life. THANK YOU mcgray!

I can't tell you how touched I am to find out that something I wrote inspired creativity in someone else. It's the highest honor!

I've just received one of the hugest compliments a writer can get - a (super amazing) fan, inuhanyounikkie was inspired by A Romp in the Park to produce a truly delicious piece of art for it (and she's doing others as well.
